Organize and edit a shoot
Free: Import, browse, rate, organize folders, collections, and stacks. Link photographs so edits to one reach the others, with per-section overrides. Bake edits into a fresh scene-linear photograph.
Pro: Add adjustment layers and the full Finish tab, including pixel layers, masks, brushes, depth masks, and Finish tools.
Export and share
Free: Quick export one photograph at a time at full resolution, without a watermark or cap.
Pro: Quick export a selection, use batch export, export groups, and the export queue. Broadcast a live view from the media server.
Explore and automate
Free: Read graph and canvas nodes, settings, groups, and connections. View and switch between existing takes. Use presets and Copy Edits when they contain only Free work.
Pro: Edit the Graph and Canvas, create and manage takes, and use Python scripting and the API.
Catalog backup and recovery, saved window layout, Find a Control, and Check for Updates are available in Free too. A preset containing Pro work cannot be applied on a Free copy, and Heeler explains why.
